Outline of the Policy
Some goods related to the Nagara River basin are certified as “Blessings of the Clear Waters of the Nagara River”.
This policy was created in order to leverage GIAHS recognition to the advantage of regional
development
through the promotion of local specialties including ayu products, agriculture, forestry and fishery
as
well as related goods around the Nagara River basin (Gifu city, Mino city, Gujo city), which aims to
hand down
“the Nagara River system” to the future generations through awareness raising,
conservation and succession for
“Ayu of the clear waters Nagara River”.
